Pierre M. Lubin, PhD

Pierre M. Lubin is a seasoned international educator with more than 20 years of experience in the field of education. He taught in the educational leadership and teacher education programs at McGill University in Montreal, Canada prior to joining the faculty of the American University of the Caribbean in Les Cayes, Haiti. After his honorable service in the United States Marine Corps, he went on to earn a B.A. degree in psychology from New York University; an M.A. degree in international educational development with specialization in curriculum and teaching from Teachers College, Columbia University; an Ed.M. degree in comparative education with specialization in organizational psychology still from Teachers College, Columbia University; and a Ph.D. degree in educational studies from McGill University.

Doctor Lubin has certification in both special education and school administration and supervision. He also specializes in the following areas: Haitian education, society, and politics; educational leadership; teacher education; urban education; comparative education; international educational development; educational and language of instruction policy; culturally responsive pedagogy; anti-racism education; and organizational development and change. As an international educator—who has trained many parents, educators, leaders, and managers in different parts of the world—his work focuses on academic justice and success for all learners in the schooling systems of Haiti, Canada, and the United States.


Roselor François, PhD

Roselor François holds a BS in Educational Science from the Université Adventiste d’Haiti, a master’s degree (M.Ed) in Educational Administration from the University of Montemorelos, Mexico, another master’s degree (M.A) in Educational Leadership and a PhD in Educational Studies respectively from McGill University, Canada. He has worked for many years as a schoolteacher, university professor and administrator in Haiti. He is a former professor and dean at the Universite Adventiste d’Haiti in the Faculty of Education Science. Doctor François also worked for the Haitian Foundation of Private Teaching (FONHEP) as chief administrator of Quality Schools Project in Port-au-Prince. He has been providing his services for more than 10 years as trainer of trainers and assistant researcher in the Canada-Haiti-France Collaboration project coordinated by two executives from McGill University and University of Ottawa. Doctor François has accumulated expertise in Critical Pedagogy, Cooperative Pedagogy, Flipped Classroom, Educational Administration and Leadership, development and management of educational projects, Educational Research (use of Mixed Methods), Postcolonial Studies and more. In addition, he is an author of children’s literature, lecturer and consultant in educational issues. He is also able to master information technologies in an educational environment.
